According to Ukrainian officials, comic-turned-hero Volodymyr Zelensky has escaped at least three precision murder attempts by expert hit squads since Russia’s week-old war began, due to tip-offs from Russian spies.
According to the Washington

Post, both the Kremlin-funded Wagner group mercenaries and Chechen Republic leader Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov’s assassination teams have allegedly attempted to assassinate Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who is holed up in several bunkers deep beneath the capital Kyiv.

According to the Times of London, the Wagner mercenaries—led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, dubbed “Putin’s chef”—had a death list of 24 names, including Zelensky, but were thwarted by a stopped military convoy outside of Kyiv that made it difficult for Russian special forces to establish an escape path.
Double agents from Russia’s Federal Security Service, or FSB, warned Ukraine’s national security leader, Oleksiy Danilov, according to a Ukrainian television network.
“I can say that we have received information from the FSB, who do not want to take part in this bloody war,” Danilov said. “And thanks to this, the Kadyrov elite group was destroyed, which came here to eliminate our president.”
Still, as President Putin’s terrible battle continues, Zelensky’s stoic resistance has elevated him to cult status, infuriating Putin, whose inferiority mentality appears to be on the verge of lunacy. Zelensky is now asking with Putin to meet face-to-face, which may appear to be a dying wish but is unlikely to come true.
“I don’t bite,” Zelensky said in a statement to Putin. “What are you afraid of?”
As Europe’s largest nuclear power plant smouldered under a Russian attack that turned into occupation early Friday morning, Zelensky issued an emotive video message accusing Russia of getting ever closer to nuclear war. “Everyone will perish if there is an explosion.” Europe has reached its nadir. As world leaders reacted with amazement and dismay, he said, “The evacuation of Europe.” “The Russian army can only be stopped if Europe takes immediate action. Allowing Europe to perish as a result of a nuclear power plant disaster is not an option.”
Zelensky went on to say,
“No country other than Russia has ever fired on nuclear power units. This is the first time in our history. In the history of mankind. The terrorist state now resorted to nuclear terror,” he said. “The Russian tanks knew that they were firing with a direct fire at the station.” The Russian military instead claimed that it was Ukrainian forces guarding the plant who fired first, provoking return fire.
