After a year of success on Citizen TV, one of Kenya’s most-watched TV shows, Zora, is finally coming to an end.

The telenovela, which premiered to considerable anticipation in March 2021, rapidly acquired a cult following as the creators expertly teamed seasoned actors Sarah Hassan and Jacky Matubia, both of whom were formerly of Tahidi High.
The star-studded show, which revolves around desperate tactics, a free-spirited woman stealing one’s heart, and a lot of karma, has been running Monday through Friday from 7:30pm to 8pm.
Fan-favourite Jacky Matubia too thanked her producers for choosing her to play the role of Nana.
“It was amazing playing the role Nana. It’s a bitter sweet feeling taking a bow but I hope you learned something from our story. It’s always a pleasure telling this story. It’s never goodbye it’s see you soon,” She wrote.
Citizen TV has already taken up a new heartbreaking show titled ‘Sultana,’ which is set in the breezy Coastal scenery and features a tear-jerking tale, to replace Zora.
‘Sultana’ is a series about a young blind lady who was born to a man concerned with a male heir and was then switched at birth and reared in the same hamlet by the midwife who saved her life.
The unfortunate girl then overcomes all obstacles posed by her inability to see and triumphs over all difficulties in her quest for happiness, overcoming stigma, rejection, unplanned pregnancy, and poverty.
