Governor Oparanya Breaks Silence After Reports of Joining Kenya Kwanza Alliance

Governor of Kakamega, Wycliffe Oparanya, has denied rumours that he is planning to join the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
On Friday, reports surfaced that Oparanya will abandon Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umjoa in favor of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, led by DP William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wrtangula.
On Friday, February 11, Oparanya released an update, stating that he had spent the day at Odinga’s campaign board.
The governor of Kakamega informed his followers that he completely supports Odinga’s candidacy.
“Spent the day in Nairobi, Kenya, during Rt Hon Raila Odinga’s Presidential Campaign Board meeting.
“I urge Azimio supporters to disregard lies created by detractors who are uneasy with the Azimio wave sweeping the country & my solid support for Baba’s presidential bid,” he said.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) published a statement as well, encouraging its supporters to disregard the falsehoods.

Oparanya has been missing during the latest Azimo rallies in Western Australia, according to a segment of the internet.
Team Azimio la UMoja brigade was led by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, Murang’a Women Representative Sabina Chege, Senator Ledama Olekina, Junet Mohamed, and Kanini Kega.
