Mary Kilobi, the wife of COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, has chastised a group of politicians aligned with Deputy President William Ruto for making her the focus of their chats during political rallies.
The TV presenter singled out former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rachid Echesa and Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa in a tweet on Wednesday for focusing their political attacks on her in an attempt to retaliate against her spouse. “It’s hilarious that some politicians, like as Rashid Echesa and Didmus Barasa, have made the KILOBI name inextricably linked to their manifesto at rallies,” she remarked. Kilobi also asked the DP’s allies to focus on preaching their ostensibly “groundbreaking” manifestos rather than placing a target on her back, especially since she’s not interested in politics.
“know it sounds really nice but Kenyans are eager to hear the “great plans” you purport to have for them. Kumbe hamna sera? Uza Sera wadau wachana na Kilobi. She’s not a politician neither do I have plans of contesting,” Kilobi said
Kilobi went on to explain that recent attempts by the DP’s friends to smear her reputation had actually boosted her general status and perception among Kenyans
.”Ironically most guys who shout the loudest about Kilobi the “25-year-old” have been frequent visitors in Kajiado. And by the way mkae mkijua kejeli zenu zinanijengea ushuhuda wa kishindo!” she said.
Following his Monday utterances, DP Ruto and his friends have been verbally attacking Atwoli, claiming that the UDA leader would consider suicide if he lost the contest for State House on August 9th.
