According to reports, the woman had just left her workplace and was en route to a restaurant when three suspects began trailing her.

Moments after she left the restaurant, the suspects’ vehicle collided with hers from behind, prompting her to stop.

As she opened her window to assess the situation, one of the assailants, wielding a bucket of acid, hurled it into her car, causing severe burns.

The attackers swiftly fled the scene, leaving the woman in critical condition. Good Samaritans rushed her to the hospital, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries due to the extent of the burns she sustained.

The suspects appeared before the Thika Law Courts, where they were charged with the murder of the woman.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Mutugu had allegedly provided financial support to the assailants to carry out the heinous act.

As the investigation continues, the suspects will remain in custody for the next 21 days to allow authorities to conclude their inquiries.
