Former fans of Kikuyu radio stations may recognize the once-prominent radio presenter, Munyeki Sonko The Second, who graced the airwaves with his presence for years.

Reports from the reputable news page, Mwagi Wa Mugikuyu, reveal Munyeki’s unexpected career shift from radio hosting to street vending, a move attributed to his current unemployment status.

Once known for his engaging presence on the radio waves, Munyeki now earns his living by selling boiled eggs, Bhagia, and sausages to support his family.

The transition from a well-paying job as a radio presenter at Gukena FM to a street vendor highlights the challenges faced by individuals in the media industry amidst changing dynamics and economic uncertainties.

Munyeki, who previously hosted the popular show “Mugithi Express” on Gukena FM alongside co-host Auntie Jemima, now navigates the bustling streets of Nairobi in pursuit of livelihood.

While Munyeki’s new occupation may come as a surprise to many, it underscores the resilience and adaptability of individuals faced with adversity.

His story resonates with many who may find themselves in similar circumstances, inspiring hope and perseverance in the face of unexpected challenges.

Moving forward, Munyeki’s journey serves as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the willingness to pursue new opportunities, regardless of the circumstances.
