Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo has stated that Kenyans have no right to keep President William Ruto in power.
He claims that Kenyans should tell Ruto to step down and pass authority to someone else because the deputy prime minister has already admitted he is unable to lead.

He claims that the current administration in Kenya is corrupt on the basis of ongoing corruption and Ruto’s broken promises.
The politician, a member of the Azimio La Umoja alliance, argues that, as a result, Kenyans ought to remove Ruto from office and replace him with someone who will advocate for them.
He has also stated that the Kenyan people are not against paying taxes per se, but rather are opposed to the higher taxes because they believe their money is being misappropriated.
Kenyans will welcome taxation if corruption is reduced. Kenyans must now rise up and install a government that is for the people after electing a Parliament that has been proven to be corrupt. He made these claims in an interview broadcast on Citizen TV on a Thursday morning.
He has also endorsed Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s call for civil disobedience in an effort to get Ruto to veto the Finance Bill, which he has later signed into law.
Maanzo thinks that Ruto’s actions are absurd, so he supports Raila’s proposal.
“Civil disobedience is the method to go when a law becomes unreasonable or unfair. The lawmaker said, “Raila Odinga is just offering solutions to Kenyans so that they avoid being overtaxed.”

It’s interesting that several of the MPs who voted for the law in parliament were actually elected with the help of Azimio. Proponents of the increased taxes have argued that doing so will help Kenya avoid taking out loans.
