They get a lot of attention online because of the age difference, but they’ve proven they can shrug off naysayers.
Dr. Ofweneke’s show featured narration by Guardian Angel, who discussed their relationship and marriage in detail.
A common acquaintance, Maina Kageni, introduced them in 2020. Esther had mentioned hearing Maina Kageni play the Guardian song on Classic 105 when she was on her way to work one day in a prior interview.
When Maina’s friend Esther asked who sang the song, Maina told her that it was Guardian Angel.
She explained that later when she realized Guardian was underappreciated and could use her help, she persuaded Maina to introduce them. They say the rest is history after the initial meeting.
The couple Esther and Guardian Angel, who had been friends for two years, tied the knot on January 4, 2022.
There have been a lot of rough patches in their relationship, but they’ve made it through them together. Their relationship has been met with skepticism from certain quarters, mostly due to the fact that Esther is more than 15 years older than Guardian.
