Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi County will be the site of the first Jamhuri Day celebrations to take place during the administrations of President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Several high-ranking Kenyans and foreign dignitaries have gathered at Nyayo Stadium for what is sure to be an eventful day of announcements and speeches from the country’s new government.
Heavy security was seen as Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his wife Dorcas Gachagua arrived at the Nyayo Stadium for this year’s Jamhuri Day celebrations, as reported by Citizen TV news.
Several security personnel exited the official Mercedes-Benz first as it pulled up to the Stadium, where they waited for Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Dorcas Gachagua to exit.
The governor of Nairobi County, Johnson Sakaja, greeted the DP and led them to the podium.
