Eastern Tennessee’s homeless 17-year-old Tupac Mosley, who graduated as Raleigh Egypt High School’s top student, stunned his peers.
Despite obstacles including homelessness, top student Tupac Mosley maintained a 4.3 GPA and was accepted to more than 40 American universities.

He received about $3 million in financial aid from the University, including the Gates Bridge Scholarship.
When Mosley realized he had won $3 million, he was “more than delighted, pleased, and shocked that it was that much,” as he explained to Fox 13.
After the passing of Tupac’s father, the family was unable to meet their financial obligations. They were forced to relocate after being evicted and now split their time between many different homes in the Memphis area.

Tupac expressed gratitude to his educators, including the principal, for their confidence in him.
