A Punch article said this morning that Davido and his spouse Chioma had lost their kid, Ifeanyi, barely 11 days after celebrating his third birthday.
The toddler Ifeanyi Adeleke reportedly drowned in a pool his father built in Banana Island. A long period of time submerged ultimately proved fatal for the 3-year-old.
Though Ifeanyi was transported to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
According to reports, the boy’s parents were not home during the disturbing event. David and Chioma had to leave their son in the care of his babysitters while they attended a family function.
According to Punch, police have detained a number of witnesses to the house incident for questioning. Davido was brought home to mourn his passing son.
The Lord have mercy on the sweet soul of this youngster who has passed away. Please ask God to strengthen the family as they grieve this unfathomable loss.
