A month after leaving her TV job, popular Kikuyu gospel singer Anne Lawrence will be ordained as a priest.

Ann will be ordained as the pastor of the Emmanuel Exploits Centre (EEC) church on July 16th, the day before the church’s grand opening in the Shujaa Mall in Embakasi.
Christ Assembly Worship Church (CAC), led by General Overseer Bishop Joan Ngeruro, will house EEC as a ministry.
Ann congratulated the Bishop at her release ceremony from the Mwiki-based CAC, noting that she felt prepared to manage her own church because of his guidance and prayers.

My eyes welled up with tears because I didn’t want to go. I’ve worked at CAC Mwiki for four years. I’ve grown really fond of my CAC relatives, but I must leave them now. In fact, GOD aided me in bowing to my spiritual superiors.
Pastor Pst. Joan Ngeruro, Bishop. Mama, I adore you. Your prayers and shaping have made me who I am today. It’s time for me to advance to the next level. She wrote on Facebook, “I have waited for this day for a long time.
She has verified that many of her music business friends and colleagues, including Ben Githae, Shiru Wa GP, Mary Lincoln, Phyllis Mbuthia, Sir James, Njeru Thiga, and many more, will be in attendance.

Ann left her role as anchor of the Utukufu Show on Mwangaza TV on June 2.
Anne was a presenter at Njata TV until she joined Mwangaza TV, run by Bishop Edward Mwai of Jesus Winner Ministry, a prominent ministry in the city.
