Mwanu Hafidh Ameir
Mwanu Hafidh Ameir is well known in her native Tanzania because she is the daughter of Samia Suluhu, Tanzania’s sixth president.
When former President John Pombe Magufuli passed away on March 18, 2021, she assumed power. As the oldest child of Samia Suluhu Hassan and Hafidh Ameir, Wanu is also a member of the Tanzanian political party Chama cha Mapinduzi.
Mwanu Hafidh Ameir went to both Kawanda Secondary and Mwanakwerekwe B Primary School. Wanu holds a diploma from the Centre for Foreign Relations and a certificate from Info-Serve, USA. She earned both her BA and LLB from The Open University of Tanzania.
