The decision by the High Court of Kenya to allow the former governor of Nairobi County to run for the governor’s position in Mombasa County has prompted a response from Kenyans.
In addition, the court has ordered the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to officially recognize Mike Sonko as the winner of the election and to list him as the candidate for the seat in question.
With Sonko already having been disqualified from running in Mombasa, this episode has given Kenyans enough to discuss.
