George Wajackoyah, a presidential candidate for the Roots Party in 2019, is pictured here with his first cousin, incumbent Member of Parliament for Rarieda, Otiende Amollo (R).
George Luchiri Wajackoyah, the Roots Party presidential candidate, and Otiende Amollo, a member of the Rarieda Parliament and one of Raila Amollo Odinga’s most trusted supporters in the lake region, are distantly related.

Based on the information we were able to glean from Wajackoyah’s Facebook timeline, we know that the Rarieda MP is related to Wajackoyah by blood and is quite close to him.
Wajackoyah, a resident of the Indangalasia village, Koyonzo location, Matungu constituency, Kakamega County, Kenya, disclosed in a 2019 Facebook post that Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo is his first cousin.

That the lawmaker was one of the cousins’ delegation from Uyoma Katwenga in neighboring Siaya County that traveled to Indangalasia in July 2019 to pay their respects at Wajackoyah’s uncle’s funeral.
Wajackoyah, a descendant of Nabongo Wanga, was researching his family tree in 2011 when he visited the cemetery of Otiende Amollo’s late father, John Amollo, who was actually Wajackoyah’s uncle.
“In Matungu, Dr. Wajackoyah paid a visit to the ancestral burial site. The Presidential candidate’s original ancestor is Nabongo Wanga of Mumias. It’s also true that Nabongo Mumia is currently being held in confinement.
Son of Nabongo Mumia’s Aide de Camp, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga was a future leader. Because of his dedication to the King, he was given the Wanga name Otinga.

Wajackoyah paid his homage to his late uncle, John Amollo (father to Lawyer Otiende Amolo and Hon. Elizabeth Ongoro MP, among others), at Kisumu, Siaya, Asembo, Ndori, Seme, and Uyoma yesterday (17/10/11) “A portion of the update was read.
In June of current year, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo was cited as claiming that Wajackoyah’s Presidential quest was successful because “he was keeping the reggae” alive by “feeding from a basket which is not of Azimio.”

Wajackoyah and his mother are pictured here in 2011 during his campaigning for the 2012 elections that were ultimately held in 2013.
In 1963, when Wajackoyah was three years old and his younger sister Jane was one and a half, his father, Titus Jakoya Olilo, evicted his mother from the marital home.
That his mother was forced to leave her husband, and the subsequent separation caused his sibling to die at an early age.
Wajackoyah’s mother, who had been abandoned by George’s father after he remarried in the 1960s, briefly reconciled with him after one of his sisters’ funerals at Indangalasia Primary School.

“George hopes his parents can mend their differences and spend more time together like other children.
He was able to forgive his father and then help many of his step siblings get through college. His father had approximately eight wives “It was like listening to a passage from his book.
It didn’t take us long to do a little investigating, and now you can see for yourself what kind of man Titus Jakoya Olilo is.
Wajackoyah and his father (a man who adores godfathers) share a striking resemblance, notably in their mouths, as can be seen in the photographs below. In 2019, Titus Jakoya Olilo attends his brother’s funeral.
