Former principal of Highway Secondary School Patrick Maritim tells court that Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi did not sit KCSE at the school in 2006 as he alleges.
The hearing of a case in which Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi is accused of forging academic papers resumed Thursday morning.
Attempts by his lawyers to have the case postponed since the MP was in Turkey receiving treatment flopped.
The Anti-Corruption Court Chief Magistrate Felix Kombo ordered lawyers Thomas Ruto, Collins Kiprono and George Wajakoyah to present medical and travel documents to prove their client could not attend court sessions.
His lead lawyer Prof. Wajakoyah who is also a presidential aspirant told the court his co-counsel was at the embassy trying to obtain the required documents forcing the court to adjourn for 30 minutes.
This is the third time the MP has skipped court. Mr Sudi, was charged with forging education certificates in 2013 so that he can secure nomination to vie for the Kapseret parliamentary seat.
