

Lionel Andrés Messi, popularly known as Leo Messi, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and captains the Argentina national team. Leo Messi is without doubt the greatest player in the history football, his achievements include seven Ballon d’Or trophies during his career in Barcelona club and many other trophies.
The seven time Ballon d’Or holder has toured several countries in Africa and here is list of all the countries he stepped his feet on.
1. Gabon
At the request of his former teammate Samuel Eto’o. During his visit to Gabon Messi however travelled with another former Barcelona teammate Deco where together they laid the first stones of port-genii standium.
2. Egypt
Messi visited Egypt to promote treatment for Hepatitis c. A project which was Supported by the Egyptian ministries of tourism and aviation.
3. South Africa
Barcelona toured south African to have a friendly match with mamelodi Sundowns club which were celebrating 100 years since the birth of former south African president Nelson Mandela. Lionel Messi was among the squad and he was the most sought after and in the end he left south African fan hectic after he Messi gave him a signed Barcelona t-shirt.
