President Uhuru Kenyatta has been challenged by Deputy President William Ruto to confront him in the upcoming elections.

Speaking at a rally in western Kenya, UDA Party Leader Dr. William Ruto has claimed that his boss Uhuru Kenyatta is behind the Azimio La Umoja forum, which aims to protect a joint candidate from Jubilee and the Orange Democratic Movement, ODM.
In recent days, the ruling party Jubilee has indicated that ODM leader Raila Odinga is their preferred candidate in elections, with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) poised to endorse The Right Hon Raila Odinga.
Susan Kihika of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta is not ready to step down in August. Ruto, who has been indirectly assaulting his boss, has challenged him to face him directly and quit hiding behind ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga
Kenyans are due to vote for their leader on August 9th, and in response to what has been described as an increase in political temperature, Ruto has taken off his gloves and appeared to confront his boss directly at several political events.
Just a few days ago, the two appeared to be in a conflict, with Uhuru accusing Ruto of politicking on top of trucks rather than serving Kenyans, prompting Ruto to retaliate.
Jubilee, led by Uhuru Kenyatta, is expected to launch efforts in the Mt Kenya region in the coming days to win support for Odinga.
