The more we hear about the unfortunate loss of former Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut, who died yesterday morning, the more we learn.

According to reliable sources, one of Chepkut’s sons, Chirchir, informed the press that his father’s final moments were excruciatingly agonizing for his family to bear.
“When I looked at my father, especially at the latter times, it was very sad and grieving to see how he lived his last moments. It is not something with which anyone would have wanted to be. So for me, I was sad to see how his final days were, ” he stated.
His family had previously stated that the late had been suffering from kidney problems at the time of his death.
His brother Nicholas, who also spoke to the media, praised his father for who he was and what he stood for. He went on to describe him as an ambitious man who was also very kind.
“From the time I’ve known my father from a young age, he was always ambitious, he was a kind person and a humble servant of the people.” Nicholas said.
He went on to say that he had no regrets about the time he had spent with his father.
“Even though he’s passed, I can say the time I had with him was amazing, I have no regrets,” Nicholas noted.
In the meantime, Garissa Township MP Aden Duale described the late Chepkut as a humble and consistent servant of the people.
“Personally, I will remember him for his humility and consistency in carrying along the human heart into places that saw power corrupt many others.” Aden Duale revealed.
Aden Duale, the Garissa Township MP, went on to say that Chepkut nearly avoided death multiple times.
” Hon. Chepkut, ‘The only soul alive’, as he had loved to call himself, had narrowly dodged death a number of times,” Duale tweeted.
The politician went on to say that the near-death experiences had altered Chepkut’s life.
“These near-death incidents, in the face of political power, prestige and privilege, reminded him of his own mortality. And, he lived like a good leader should: With the people he served at heart. Spreading love and laughter.”
Duale, on the other hand, did not go into specifics about the incidents or how he survived the death threats.
