Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni, claims that former President Uhuru Kenyatta would have won the election had he run for a third term.
Muhoozi says that Uhuru Kenyatta could not have lost the election if he had run for a third term instead of giving authority to his deputy, who went on to defeat Orange Democratic Party leader Hounerable Raila Odinga and assume the presidency.

“My only regret about my dearly departed older sibling’s political career is that he did not run for a third term. We could have won handily if we had tried.” Muhoozi penned the text.
Reactions to the comments made by Muhoozi, the first son of long-serving Ugandan head of state President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, have been varied online. They have reminded him that, young or old, the president of the Republic of Kenya can only serve for two terms because Kenya is a democracy.
