
All three of Kenya’s previous heads of state were able to meet the late Queen Elizabeth II while she was at the height of her power as England’s monarch.

After more than 70 years on the British monarchy, Queen Elizabeth II has passed away at the age of 96. She was previously married to Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, with whom she had four children.

As a princess and then as queen, she made frequent trips to Kenya, where she was able to meet and be received by several heads of state.
