After an 11-year struggle to conceive, Mwalimu Wesley Kiplagat and his wife, Jane Kirui, have finally welcomed their long-awaited baby girl, Natalie Jelimo, into the world.

Mwalimu Wesley Kiplagat and Madam Jane Kirui.

The couple, hailing from Emurua Dikir, faced a painful journey marked by numerous hospital consultations that yielded no success.

Their story began in 2012 when they tied the knot, and their desire to have a child was met with disappointment.

Despite seeking medical advice from renowned hospitals, including Tenwek Hospital in Bomet County, Jane remained unable to conceive.

They were heartbroken when a medical examination at Tenwek Hospital confirmed that she couldn’t bear children.

Undeterred, they turned to traditional treatments in their quest to overcome this condition, and their relentless pursuit eventually led them to a new doctor in the area.

The doctor’s approach was different, emphasizing that while he could treat, it was ultimately up to God to heal.

Jane began a course of treatment, which included an injection, and soon after, she experienced bouts of vomiting.

A turning point came during a New Year worship service at the African Gospel Church when they sought divine intervention.

Their pastor encouraged them to place their struggles before God. Shortly after, Jane fell ill, and they were amazed to discover that she was pregnant. Overjoyed by this unexpected blessing, they named their baby girl Natalie after Mwalimu Kiplagat’s favorite student.

This miraculous turn of events made Mwalimu Wesley Kiplagat a father at last, bringing immeasurable joy to the couple.

In June 2023, the family expanded further when Jane asked her husband to marry a second wife, a decision that ultimately resulted in the birth of a baby boy.

The initial living arrangement was unique as both wives lived in the same house since there wasn’t a separate dwelling for the new wife.

The couple attributed their newfound happiness to divine timing and were immensely grateful for their long-awaited children.

With their family growing, they now have plans to welcome four more children into their lives.

This heartwarming story highlights the couple’s unwavering determination to become parents and serves as a testament to the belief that, indeed, “God’s time is the best.”

Their journey, marked by struggle and ultimately triumph, showcases the power of faith and persistence in the face of adversity.

This story sheds light on the challenges faced by couples dealing with fertility issues and the varying cultural perspectives on such matters in different parts of the world, including Africa.

It is a tale of hope, resilience, and the belief that miracles can happen when least expected.
