African champion sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala was dealt a serious setback when the Kenyan government refused to issue him a visa to the United States.
Olympian and 100-meter dash champion was scheduled to compete in Oregon, United States of America.

Two days before the race, however Ferdinand Omanyala is still in Kenya because of visa issues.
It’s a huge setback, and he probably won’t be able to compete at all or won’t do very well if he does. A competitor in a race of that magnitude should get there at least five days before the start of the race so that they have time to acclimate to the local environment.

There needs to be a resolution, and we hope it comes soon. We wish you the best, Omanyala.
