ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi now says they will deliver 90 per cent of Western Kenya votes to the vote basket of Deputy President William Ruto in the August polls.

The ANC boss downplayed the demand
imposed on them by the Kenya Kwanza coalition which required them to bring 70 per cent of the votes to get 30 per cent of government.

Speaking in Limuru on Monday during Kiambu county economic forum, Mudavadi said the Western region is ready to deliver massive votes to the DP.

“Mimi na Wetangula tuko hapa, Ingo imeshona. 70 per cent ni Kidogo, tutaleta 90 per cent,” Mudavadi Said.

Mudavadi said their support for Raila saw the ODM chief win massive votes equivalent to what they are promising Ruto.

He exuded confidence that the tides have changed in Western Kenya adding that they will carry the day as the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

“We have been backing Raila’s presidential bid and we delivered that 90 per cent, but he left us hanging,” he said.

In the Kenya Kwanza coalition agreement, Mudavadi and Wetangula will receive 30 per cent of government resources, cabinet and ambassadorial appointments if they manage to bring 70 per cent of the votes.

In addition, Musalia will be handed the chief cabinet minister position while Wetangula will be the National Assembly Speaker if they meet their targets.

The agreement sparked a huge debate with a section of Kenyans questioning the ability of the two leaders to deliver the votes.
