We all know Jesus Christ to have lived for only 33 and ½ years before he asceded to heaven. During that period, the scripture records that Jesus was mainly concerned with God’s work which according to prophet isaiah was healing the sick, setting the captives free and announcing the acceptable time of God.
We never read anywhere where Jesus got a wife to himself or even had children, but did you know that his disciples were married? These scriptures bring a picture of Jesus disciples being married.
Matthew 8:14 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
14 And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.
this scripture confirms Peter who later Jesus renamed the rock was married
1 Corinthians 9:5 — The New International Version (NIV)
5 Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Cephas?
Here apostle Paul references other disciples being married when he says he has a right to marry a believing woman because Peter, Jesus’ brothers, and other apostles had married. However, Paul was not married, at least at the time of his writings.
