Kenyan DJ, actress, and media icon Pierra Makena is turning heads and sparking major online conversations not because of her latest performance, but because of how proudly she’s owning her personal journey.

At 43 years old, Pierra is unmarried and unapologetically okay with it.

“Who said there is a certain age to be married?” she asked in a recent interview.

Pierra opened up about her views on love, marriage, and motherhood, revealing that she hasn’t found the right partner yet and she won’t settle just to please society.

“I’ll Marry When It Feels Right Not When Society Says I Should”

For Pierra, marriage isn’t something to be rushed. She values love, emotional connection, and shared values over flashy lifestyles or pressure from others.

She says her ideal man is someone who is God-fearing, clean, smells nice, hardworking, and yes a good kisser. But she’s clear: money is not a top priority.

“I want someone I can connect with deeply. I won’t marry just for show or because people expect me to.”

A Proud Single Mother And Not Done Yet

Pierra may not have a husband, but she’s a devoted single mother. She speaks with pride about raising her daughter and says she would love to have more children in the future.

She also admitted she prefers men to make the first move because she fears rejection a relatable moment that many women appreciated.

    Career Goals? Already Achieved.

While some people define success through marriage, Pierra defines hers through achievement, impact, and happiness.

She is one of Kenya’s top female DJs, has performed on international stages, and starred in popular local shows like Tahidi High and Changes. She’s also won major awards for her acting.

Online Reactions: “This is What Real Empowerment Looks Like”

Social media users have flooded comment sections with support, calling Pierra a “true role model” and “a woman who knows her worth.”

    Some trending sentiments include:

“She’s living her truth. Love this for her.”

“Women should marry when they’re ready, not when pressured.”

“You don’t need a husband to be complete or successful.”

Why Her Story Matters in 2025

In a country where women are often judged by whether they’re married or not, Pierra’s message is powerful:

You don’t need to follow society’s script to be successful or happy.

Whether married, single, divorced, or dating every woman deserves the freedom to choose her own path.

    Final Word

Pierra Makena is living proof that you don’t need a ring to live a full, beautiful life. She’s raising her daughter, running her career, inspiring thousands  and still open to love on her terms.

So, if you’ve ever felt pressured to meet someone else’s timeline remember Pierra’s words:

“There’s no age for love. Do what feels right for YOU.”
