The British Labour government has been in power for only 4 months but it has already carried out more deportation than the previous Conservative government.

In the first month alone they removed 400 people . Now compare this with 2 people who were removed over the entire period the Conservative government under Rishi Sunak was in power.
Labour has also conducted the largest-ever chartered return flight which had Nigerians and Ghanaians .The flight first landed in Lagos to offload Nigerians before heading towards Accra to offload Ghanaians.
It is quite ironic that the left wing Labour Party which has always been known for its friendliness towards migrants is taking a stricter stance on immigration than the Right Wing Conservative party which has always been less friendly towards migrants.
But that’s how the emergent radical nationalistic sentiments in the West are forcing political formations to embrace right wing policies. The Labour Party started drifting to the Left from Centre-Left when Tony Blair became Prime Minister.
Jeremy Corbyn even took it to the extreme left, something that angered the electorate who voted overwhelmingly for the Right Wing Conservative Party led by Boris Johnson.
When Keir Starmer took over the leadership of the Labour Party from Corbyn the first thing he did was to kick out anything Corbyn including Corbyn himself from the party. He then dragged the party from extreme left to centre-left.
This overhaul paid off when he guided the Labour Party to win with the largest majority in history with himself as prime minister.
At the moment the line between the Labour Party and the Conservatives is very thin.
