Former KEMRI director who was serving time for allegedly collecting Ksh 19.3 million through profits of corruption has been pardoned by President William Ruto.
The former government official, who had been imprisoned for six years, was reportedly pardoned by President William Ruto, who had previously exercised the Presidential prerogative of Mercy to pardon numerous criminals.

Renowned United Democratic Alliance party lawmaker Khalwale has taken to social media to voice his approval of President William Ruto’s stance on this issue.
The suspect, known as professor Koecj, allegedly taught at the University of Nairobi, where Bonny Khalwale received his education, as reported by the media.

At the same time, Kenyans have been wondering why President William Ruto has made this move.
