A disagreement between Akothe and her younger sister Cebbie led to Akothe revealing on her official Facebook page a few days ago that they were no longer on good terms. She explained that she had ended the relationship but is always willing to work things out with him.

Many Kenyans are now taking a bad view of the tale because of this. By posting a response to the news on her Facebook page, Akothe made it clear that the two were never at odds and that she would never wish anything ill upon her. It was the same day she flew in Kenya from South Africa, yet she still managed to catch a helicopter to her sister’s first-degree ceremony in Eldoret, she claimed.

The parents day for her kid occurred on the same day as her sister’s funeral, but she made the sacrifice because she values both relationships equally. Instead of driving her from the ceremony to the reception, her sister flew her there so the whole family could celebrate her accomplishment.
Her final words were that her sister’s happiness was her own and her sister’s sorrow was her own as well because they were related by blood. That’s why, she said, Kenyans shouldn’t find anything to celebrate in the fact that she’s gone. The pain of losing her is on par with that of a mother losing a child.
