Eddie Butita, a comedian, has come out to slam KRG The Don for lying about his net worth. In an interview with DR Ofweneke, the singer revealed his net worth as KSh7 billion, claiming to be Kenya’s richest musician. He claims that he began investing in his early days.

“I was always a bright student, and as early as high school, I began making money while still in school. My father used to give me a lot of money, like 150k when I only needed 40k. I was a student and used it wisely.” He went on to say that he began lending the money as a shylock to other students.
He claims to have invested in real estate, transportation, and the music industry.
“KRG hureason na pesa ya Uganda, unajua alisomea Uganda. So yeye akisema networth anasema in Ugandan Shillings.” Butita said.
Butita revealed that KRG was once a pastor in Jinja, Uganda, and that he is not Kenya’s wealthiest musician. KRG is well-known for his extravagant spending; he once claimed that he spends more than KSh100,000 per day on fuel and lunch.
This came after KRG took to Instagram and posted a story detailing his M-Pesa spending, which appeared to be in over of Ksh 24.3 Million.
Despite the fact that the musician deleted the story almost immediately, many people saw it and shared it online, with blogs picking it up and posting it on their own pages.

The screenshot elicited mixed reactions from social media users, with many questioning the source of his wealth and how he could possibly transact so much given that he is not one of the most popular artists in the country. Others expressed surprise at how much money people in the music industry make, given that artists are constantly complaining about the MCSK and the low pay they receive from gigs and concerts.
